Why the

The Green V is the Central Valley. Our farmers, our teachers, the high school athletes coming up from every corner of the region — if you're from the Valley, you're a Bulldog. And if you're a Bulldog, you're from the Valley.
Who We Are
Change the culture
The Green V Section was created to set the standard, change the culture, and to show by our actions what being a fan at Valley Children's Stadium should look and sound like. To create an environment that shows these student-athletes just how much they mean to this Valley, this university, and this fan base — by providing them with the type of gameday atmosphere they deserve to succeed at the highest of their own expectations.

The Origin
It started with "what if?"
A few diehards heard Coach Jeff Tedford challenge the fan base to build a real four-down culture — in the stadium early, loud on every down, not just for the hot-dog race. We took it personally, claimed Section 34 with the university's blessing, took over the green shirts, and asked a simple question.

Carrying on a Valley legacy
The Green V isn't new — it's heritage. Legendary Fresno State coach Pat Hill created the Green V on the Bulldog helmets to honor the agricultural richness of the San Joaquin Valley, and built a program on one fearless creed: anybody, anytime, anywhere.
That blue-collar, bring-your-lunch-pail identity made the Bulldogs admired across the nation. We carry that same V back into the stands — for the Valley, for the university, and for every student-athlete who wears it on Saturdays.

Bring the next wave in
The Green V Foundation is being formed to share something we love with the next generation of Bulldogs. We're raising money to bring youth groups from across the Valley to football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games all season long — so they become part of this community and know they belong here, in the stands with the rest of us.
